I’m Nick Mossie. I live wife my wife Shannon in Blue Springs, Missouri which is just East of Kansas City Missouri. I’m about 6 foot tall, green eyes, black hair. I was born in January 15, 1979. I’m a Capricorn with both Leo as moon and rising signs. This is a picture of myself as of December 2007.
I’m into computers a lot. They take up most of my time: all of my work time and quite a lot of my after-work time. This includes mountains of video games, and all the latest electronic gadgets. See my Computer page for what I do.
Other interests are shooting guns and bows. Just at paper. I’ve been an archer off and on since I was in about the 7th grade. I shoot both bare bow recurve and sighted compound. I also hope to get in to traditional longbow too. I’ve also been a pretty big gun nut since I started in about Oct 2006. I’m a card carrying member of the NRA. I’ve had my CCW in Missouri since October of 2007. I used to shoot more when I was little, but couldn’t ever just do my own thing until now. I own a couple firearms, and usually have my eye on the next one.
I’m also heavily into music. I can even play the accordion, a little saxophone, a little piano. I like rave music (dark trance/house/techno is my fav to be more specific) the best, which kinda leaves out accordion much anymore. Also I’m in to industrial sounds, but most of real industrial music is gone by the wayside. Music is something that drives me an makes me feel grounded. My favorite band of all time is Nine Inch Nails after that it gets hard to rank who I like. Modern country music is pretty ok with me if I’m out at a bar or something (and I live in the Midwest, so it’s pretty hard to escape), but I don’t listen to it regularly. Most rap (but not all of either) isn’t for me.
I’m a fairly conservative person both in life and in politics. I’m not a very political person. I think that every new law someone adds takes away from my life a little. I believe in freedom, but not anarchy. Ideally life wouldn’t need rules, but it does because there’s always someone that screws it up.
Personally, I’m usually quiet. I’m not much on small talk. Forcing conversation is a turnoff for me. But I do like to talk about stuff that interests me, and there’s a lot of that. Since I’m pretty open about everything, and people tell me I’m the nicest guy in the world, I tend to make friends quickly as long as I get over the initial hurdle of having something to talk about. I like projects and fixing things. I like finding answers to impossible problems. I’m a researcher and an engineer at heart.
