openID only blog comments

Monday, January 28th, 2008

well besides on facebook where my friends can view my blog and comment on it, I’ve turned off all commenting except for openID on my journal… I think that might slow down some evil commentators while allowing real people the ability to comment if they’d like…

fyi.. if you have an AIM screen name, you have an open ID account… put in openid.aol.com/<screen_name> where <screen_name> is your .. uh.. screen name!.. and then use your screen name and password to login

getting pissed

Monday, January 28th, 2008

It’s been two weeks tomorrow since I bought my new car and it still doesn’t have tint, a remote start, or XM. I’ve been asking since the day after I got it when all this was going to happen.. they didn’t tell me. I asked last week and didn’t get an answer. I asked today and didn’t either. Getting pissed at LS Subaru..

All the public journal entries before 2007 are marked private now and I’ve removed specific outdated references that don’t mean anything anymore from my static pages.

Information control is a beautiful thing… I should thank Al more often :)  Anyway.. since that time I’ve been a lot more careful about what I put out there for the world to see.  Before that I don’t think I really got why I should care… I do now.  I should find that paper on privacy misconceptions.. even if I really don’t believe in privacy.. just control.

I did get a number of old pages up this morning… mostly computer stuff.. that’s the “safe” stuff that I really hoped to keep when I started redoing this site to begin with.
