but I’m heading to the lake tonight and will be there for 9 days… I haven’t done this in recent memory. But I think it’ll be an actual vacation… first.. in.. forever.

(and eating it) is probably the coolest thing ever.
The game was sold out everywhere the first day…. they had 1 copy out
in Indep MO that I had to bargain for.. paid an extra $5 to reserve
another game so they’d hold it for me.
I played from 5 to 1am… didn’t move… just played.. totally awesome.
So back in 2001 or whatever I got The Wheel of Time for the PC. I never finished it because it was boring as hell… at least at the time I thought it was.
It’s a FPS in the Unreal engine, so it still looks pretty nice today… and of course I can turn it up all the way.
So I decided I’ll go through and beat it.. no sense in owning a nice looking game about magic and stuff that I haven’t beaten…. that’d be silly. I got to level.. er.. I guess it’s level 4.. I beat my doppleganger last night… she owned me a few times until I got the hang of my … tangriel (sp?) … to block stuff and counter… damn soul barbing bitch.
anyway.. it’s ok… I should own the game pretty quick like.
But I’m really looking forward to Overlord on the PC and The Darkness on the PS3 here on the 26th.. they will rule.
I ALMOST decided to fire up Black and White after I played the Overlord demo.. I had a need to be a GOD real quick in leui of being and Overlord.. but.. I didn’t… I didn’t like that game too much.. but then again I was pretty young… and anyway I saw Wheel of Time on my rack first… so there ya go

It’s a PVP web based game. There’s a lot to it right now.. and a whole lot more to go. Next is probably equipment and shit.. well there are already health and mana potions in there.
I think it’s just about ready for public release… this is kinda like “open beta” right now…. like “let’s see how this all works together” .. so far I have some of the list people playing pretty regularly.. and then their players can play themselves
I’ve put capatchas in there too to try and prevent bots in there… I have the systems pretty well in there so that actual humans play better than bots, but I think capatchas are good in there too.
and yea though I walk through the valley of Exchange I shall fear no evil for thou art shiny and new.. thy installation wizard and thy assuredness that this isn’t all that hard they comfort me

Kat and Kaleb officially live with me now.
So now I explain to people where I live and they are like.. almost always.. exactly like this…
- wow big house! Why did you get such a big house?
- Because it’s the house I grew up in and I really wanted it instead of letting someone I didn’t know move in.. I also hate moving and so I wanted a house that I could grow to about 50 in instead of moving later
- Still, big house.. do you have any room mates?
- well my brother and his g/f Kat and and her son Kaleb live there too
- Oh so it’s your brother’s and your’s?
- Well.. no.. just mine really.. I own it and they pay for the extra it costs me to have them there. And.. well I don’t exactly own it yet.. but as soon as my dad can actually sell it to me I will … and they take care of the house stuff.. well after they get done moving in.. and as much as the made I hired doesn’t already
- So is it weird owning a house that basically another family lives in?
- No.. I mean I’ve known Kat as long as my brother has .. and Kaleb is a good kid.. and he’s got his own room that I’d otherwise not be using.. but I can see how it would be seen as weird… but it’s a big house.. so if we didn’t want to, we’d never see each other.

- well ya but I’m going to finish off the basement.. hopefully.. eventually.. and have another little apartment down there.. I think it would be nicer and cooler

- well.. no.. I gave that to Matt and Kat cuz I really like my old room, which is bigger, and I redid the bathroom next to it the way I like it, and I wanted Kaleb’s room to be next to their room, and I don’t need near as much closest space as Kat does
- so.. no offense or anything.. but it really sounds like they are living there and you are living there with them, yet you own the place and should be in the master bedroom and taking up most of the house with your stuff not theirs
- yes.. and my brother and Kat realize that.. and that’s all that appearances really matter to me as far as that goes. Everyone who’s opinion matters to me knows different and rather think I’m doing a good thing.
- so will you live like that forever?
- in the long term.. like the more than 5 or 10 years term.. either Matt will buy me out or they will move out.. one or the other.. I eventually want my own family and Matt and his family to live somewhere close but not in the same house.. but right now I want this.
